Sociology, Exam results & writing.
This is going to be a long post. Let me just warn you. So yea.
Well, I take Sociology and this subject makes me feel very intelligent. It is a subject that forces me to think and to question about our world and our interactions.
I really like that. And a lot of theories make sense. I really like reading about the old theories from dead philosophers and sociologists. It makes me feel like they aren't really dead and that their theories keep them alive and if I close my eyes, I can almost feel that they are right beside me. Sometimes, I wish these great philosophers or sociologists were still alive because I would have loved to be their student.
Other than that, I would read these theories and I would completely understand their point of view with that theories. I would agree with their theories and for a moment, it feels like I am talking to dead. It's crazy. But this subject makes me feel this way.
Sociology also makes me feel very philosophical. It challenges me in the way that I like. Sociology gives me more questions and makes me a little more insane but I love it.
Ah, exam results. My December Trials came out. They were alright. I passed everything. THANK GOD.
For a moment, I was afraid that I would fail everything.
However, I was a little disappointed with the grades I got for Economics. It was lower than what I expected and that pisses me off.
I mean, it's my major but yet I did so terrible in it. Sighs.
Well, the exams is in May. I still have some time left. Let's make this time count.
And writing....
I know I shouldn't talk about writing....but if I don't figure this out soon, I won't feel happy and I won't be able to focus on my studies.
During my three month summer break, which story should I write about?
Should I write about Xerxes?
This story about three region lords fighting for the throne after the death of their King.
Personally, Xerxes disturbs me a lot and annoys me a lot too but I love him and he's adorable, so it's alright.
Or should I write about Laura & Nathan?
This is a love story about two young people falling in love but then, the world is cruel and one of them dies. And then it becomes a story about a person coping with such a loss.
Or should I write the King's Advisor?
This is a story about a boy trying to live up to the expectations of his family. His grandfather is a great legendary man and he is just trying to be that. His grandfather was not an ordinary man but most of all, he was simply fortunate. It's a story about expectations and finding yourself.
Well, I don't quite know which to write. At first, I thought I should write the older and more completed stories.
But then, I realized that, while some are older, it is still not completed whereas there are newer stories who are already completed. It's odd.
Here is the ranking by oldest story to newest story.
- Laura and Nathan
- Xerxes
- King's Advisor
Here is the ranking by completed story to uncompleted.
- Laura and Nathan
- King's Advisor
- Xerxes
I know the obvious answer is to write Laura and Nathan. The problem is that, I am not sure if that is what I want to write because at one point, I decided to not write them but now, I am not sure anymore.
And another problem is that, Xerxes is very noisy and he commands that he should be written. That is a little annoying but his story isn't completed.
Then, when Xerxes make noise, everybody else starts making noise and they all want to be written and I end up now, not knowing what or who I should write about during the summer break.
What do you think?
Here is a poll. So you tell me. Thanks~~!
