Being a journalist~!
Last Sunday, I went to CHEER 2009. (CHEER is an annual cheerleading competition.) So I went to CHEER 2009 as a journalist. BRATs(young journalists) were all getting together to meet each other and be journalists in this event.
I was quite excited about being a journalist in a real live event, doing live coverage. That's just cool. Everyone was with their camera's, ready to snap the pictures.

Yup, ever since the BRATs workshop, I'm sure everyone has become :~
a)A blogger
b)A camera lover
c) Has a freaking twitter account
d) Addicted to the computer and the internet
So yea, the workshop really did wonders to us!
After the BRATs workshop, I thought I already had the taste of real journalism with insane deadlines. I thought the workshop has already shown us everything about journalism. Boy, was I wrong? I thought I knew journalism from head to toe...but I'm wrong. There is so much more to journalism.
On that morning, I went backstage. (WOOHOO~! Journalists are allowed backstage & even to restricted areas where participants aren't allowed) I really liked the idea of being able to go to places where people can't normally go if they don't have permission.
The security guard just let me through when he saw my tag...(He wanted to shoo me off until he saw my tag.)
BTW, there were girls who stared daggers at me because I could go to restricted areas while they were only confined to one place.

Hehe...the looks on their faces were really priceless!!
Anyway, doing a live coverage was NOT easy, trust me... I mean, you have to run all day, capturing the perfect moment at the perfect timing. We even have to find stories(interesting things that people will read..) That mean we had to run around, interviewing people, chasing people around all day long. It was CHAOTIC!!!
Oh yea...the adreanaline rush!!

And doing live coverage is quite fun!! We had to take pictures and upload it immediately. We had to even twitter or blog about the latest update! Some of us even made a video, editing it, right there and then, later uploading it to youtube.
So that was FUN~! I really liked the adreanaline rush~! The deadline was even more insane. We have to do it there right there and then... It was slightly different from the workshop. Atleast, the workshop was slightly more relax~!
Anyway, at the end of the day, I'm DAMN tired. My legs hurts so MUCH!!
I've been to so many camps, events, workshops and stuff. I've been through leg ache before. BUT this time, my leg hurts so MUCH! And it's just one day....unbelievable!! I really got to start exercising!!
In the end, I enjoyed myself. I enjoyed running around, interviewing people, searching for stories and doing live coverage. And guess what, there's still so much more to learn in journalism. I'm liking journalism more & more!! Maybe, I will be a journalist when I grow up...maybe....
